Pak v NZ 1st ODI: Kiwis post 288/7 against Pakistan, Mitchell scores a ton

Rawalpindi, April 27: New Zealand after batting first have amassed 288/7 in the first ODI of the 5-match series against hosts Pakistan on Thursday.

Middle-order batter D Mitchell and opening batter Will Young were stars with the bat, scoring a century and fifty respectively.

For Pakistan, the three pacers comprising Naseem Shah, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Haris Rauf claimed two wickets, each. Leg spinner Shadab took one wicket while Nawaz and Agha Salman went wicketless.

Pakistan skipper Babar Azam after winning the toss elected to field first.
