India’s Law Minister Informs Lok Sabha on Friday
New Delhi, July 28: Over 71,000 cases are pending in different high courts in India for more than three decades, Law Minister Arjun Ram Megheal told Lok Sabha on July 28.
According to India’s Law Minister, over 1.01 lakh cases which are more than 30 years old are pending in lower courts.
In a written response to a question, Minister Meghwal said on Friday that, as on 24 July 2023, 71,204 cases were pending in high courts.
Lok Sabha was also informed that 1,01,837 cases were pending for over 30 years in district and subordinate courts.
