Former Pakistan skipper Inzamam responsible for announcing squads for the upcoming series against Afghanistan, Asia Cup & World Cup
Islamabad, August 07: Former skipper of Pakistan national cricket team Inzamam-ul-Haq on Monday has been appointed chief selector of the national cricket team for a second time.
Inzamam-ul-Haq was Pakistan team’s chief selector from 2016 to 2019. His appointment as chief selector for the second time is very crucial.
Inzamam-ul-Haq will announce national team’s squad for the forthcoming three-match ODI series against Afghanistan in Sri Lanka, scheduled to commence on August 22.
Afterwards, it will be followed by the ODI Asia Cup and the World Cup due in India in October later this year.
Previously, Inzamam named the squad for the 2019 World Cup.
Haroon Rasheed quit as Chief Selector last month, paving the way for Inzamam’s appointment.
